I do use canned whole tomatoes and crush them by hand. The pasta had the perfect texture and was so delicious in the baked parmesan cheese and wine sauce. The chicken sausage is unbelievably delicious. We called and asked which brand they use and they said it's Premio Foods Mild Italian Chicken Sausage.

Instructions to make Easy Ravioli in a sausage, garlic, and wine sauce:
  1. Get a large pot of salted water on to boil for the ravioli. Dissolve bullion cubes in 2 cups of hot tap water.
  2. In a large skillet, on medium heat, add the olive oil, garlic, and crushed red pepper until you can smell it. bump up the heat to med high. Add Italian sausage and brown well. Add the onions and vinegar and stir.
  3. Add the wine and let that cook and reduce for a few minutes.
  4. Mix the cornstarch with the water and bullion cubes. Pour it into the skillet and let it boil for a bit and thicken.
  5. Add the ravioli to the boiling salted water and boil for 3-4 minutes then drain. Add to the skillet. Toss and add 1 tbsp Parmesan over top.

The chicken sausage is unbelievably delicious. We called and asked which brand they use and they said it's Premio Foods Mild Italian Chicken Sausage. We also love their Ravioli Lasagna. Cheese ravioli baked in a roasted garlic pasta sauce with Italian sausage, green peppers, and onion, then topped with mozzarella and mascarpone cheese. Eventually we settled on Italian sausage and ravioli, since even I couldn't remember the last time I had used either of those in a dish.
