  1. Take 2 chicken thighs
  2. Make ready 1/2 cup uncooked rice

  6. Make ready 2/3 cup green peas, frozen
  7. Take 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  8. Get 1 salt to taste
  9. Get 1 black pepper to taste

Instructions to make Chicken Rice One Skillet:
  1. Cut your chicken in bite sized pieces. Add soy sauce, mix, set aside for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat skillet on medium heat, add 2 tablespoons oil.
  3. Clean and slice or dice your garlic, ginger and carrot.
  4. Add your chicken to the skillet.
  5. When the chicken is about half done, add the carrot, stir for 2 minutes
  6. Add garlic and ginger, stir for 1 minutes.
  7. Add rice, stir for 2 minutes
  8. I was using Jasmine rice, you need to add enough water to cook the rice, plus a little more. For example i used 3 tablespoons more than the Jasmine rice called for.
  9. Bring water to a boil, stir, reduce heat to low, cover, simmer for 5 minutes less than your rice typically needs. My Jasmine needs 25 minutes, so i went 20 minutes
  10. Add frozen peas, cover, cook last 5 minutes.
  11. Stir it all together, check everything is done.
  12. Serve.
